    Duqm Refinery to refurbish four kindergartens

    Duqm Refinery recently signed an agreement with the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) to refurbish four kindergartens in Omani Women’s Association in the Governorate of Al Wusta.
    They are situated in the wilayats of Haima, Al Jaser, Mahout and Dahr village in the wilayat of Duqm.

    The agreement was signed in the company office by Mohammed bin Ahmed al Mahrouqi, director general for Planning and Studies in the ministry while Duqm Refinery was represented by Nas-ha bint Mohammed al Falahi, general manager for Corporate Affairs, stated a press release.
    As per the agreement, Duqm Refinery will provide financial support to prepare adequate learning environment for children by supplying kindergartens with furniture, books, and educational aides.
    The agreement includes preparation of four kindergartens in the Omani women’s associations in the wilayats of Duqm, Al Jaser, Mahout and Haima.
    The kindergartens will accommodate 200 children every year from the wilayats with expansion plans set by the officials in the ministry.
    Through such initiatives Duqm Refinery aims to support educational institutions and strengthen their relationships with the communities it serves. It also aims to provide high standard services to uplift the community and provide sustainable services that will serve the current and future generations.
    On the occasion, Mahrouqi, said, “We are glad to sign this agreement with Duqm Refinery which will contribute to the children’s learning process that is addressed from an early stage.”
    He added, “We value Duqm Refinery’s contribution which supports diverse needs of various segments of the Omani society.”
    Nas-ha said, “Supporting local communities is one of our main mandates to prepare Omani youth for the future.
    “Our goal is to support local institutions to fulfil their roles in society and to further empower them to provide an ideal environment to educate children using the latest educational methodologies.”
