Eshraqa, Sparkle Marine Services collaborate on Duqm School Project
Khimji Ramdas’ Eshraqa, the
company’s Social Development Arm and Khimji’s Sparkle Marine Services, the
leading marine company offering all marine management services to the Duqm Port
including chartering of tugboats services, joined hands to set up sunshades at
the Dahar School in the Al Wusta Governorate of Duqm.
The initiative comes as part
of Khimji Ramdas’ Eshraqa extensive CSR drive under the education pillar and
follows up similar efforts towards ensuring access to proper infrastructure
that meets the needs of the local community.
Commenting on the project,
Pankaj Khimji, chairman of the Board of Directors of Khimji’s Sparkle Marine
Services said, “Our current project at Duqm continues KR’s philosophy of giving
back to society and exemplifies our commitment to the government’s goals for
improving education infrastructure across the Sultanate. It reflects our
dedication towards the driving sustainably in both social and economic growth.”

development of local communities and initiating positive engagement for the
growth and progress of our nation. We have implemented a broad framework of
support that ensures access to proper infrastructure, improving educational
facilities and community empowerment programmes.”
Dahar School falls under the
jurisdiction of the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm (SEZAD) and is located
50km away from central Duqm. Khimji Ramdas’ Eshraqa has set up sunshades around
an area measuring 450sq.m.
The initiative has spurred a
substantive number of programmes to assist the nation’s developmental mandate
on education. These include scholarships, vocational and entrepreneurship
training initiatives.

Responsibility initiatives from Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm (SEZAD)
thanked Eshraqa, said, “We are happy to see the much needed developmental
support towards education infrastructure in schools, especially in the interior
region. This project will help improve the school’s facilities and will undoubtedly
benefit students, faculty and the community as a whole.”
