    Cyprus House President to hold official visit to Sezad Chairman

    President of the House of Representatives Demetris Syllouris will be holding a five-day official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, at the invitation of Chairman of the Consultative Council (Lower House) of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalid Hilal Al Maawali.

    Syllouris will be departing on November 11 for Oman, head of a parliamentary delegation comprising MPs Nicos Tornaritis, Irene Charalambidou, Christiana Erotokritou, Costis Efstathiou, and Michalis Yiorgallas.

    During their stay in Muscat, Syllouris and the parliamentary delegation will meet with Al Maawali, who will host an official lunch in their honour.

    Furthermore, they will have separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Chairman of the State Council (Upper House) Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, and Minister of Higher Education Rawiyah bint Saud al Busaidiyah.

    Syllouris and the delegation will also meet with Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm, Yahya Bin Said Al Jabri, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Sultanate of Oman Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development Salem bin Nasser Al-Ismaily.

    They will furthermore meet with members of the Cypriot community living and working in Oman and will visit the Sultan Qaboos University, the National Museum of Oman, and other sites of historical and cultural interest. Syllouris will also be giving an interview to the Oman News Agency.

    The delegation will be returning to Cyprus on November 15.
